It’s one of the biggest days on the social calendar for the Goondiwindi Region and the Talwood Races turned up the heat for their annual Talwood Races on August 12, despite there being no actual horse racing on the underprepared track.
Despite swift competition for numbers from the Goondiwindi Polo Carnival and the Gundy 500, hundreds of keen racegoers flocked to the Talwood Race Club to enjoy a brilliant day, evening and night of friends, fun and good times.
The lack of horses didn’t stop a brilliant night unfolding, with live music, a full range of kids activities and return buses from Goondiwindi and Boomi making sure everyone let their hair down.
